Wheels up-HAMMERDOWN at Plymouth Dirt Track on June 27th!

[PLYMOUTH, WIS.]-August 24, 2009- The Hammerdown Motorsports, Tom Klein powered, Eagle Chassis, Tech Squad, Meyer Motors, Mount'n Screenery, Fastenal, GWRE, RC Custom Design, Full Throttle Ink, CMI Racing Vids, Race Gear X, High Flyers PR #24M driven by Adam "Ace" Miller competed with IRA Outlaw Sprints and W.O.S Series on Saturday, August 22nd at the Wilmot Raceway (Kenosha County Fairgrounds). Friday night was called due to rain. "Ace" Miller started the night with a 34th place qualifying finish turning a 14.168 second lap. As the 40 cars in the pits geared up for the first heat race, Miller watched the race track in preparation for heat race #2. He pushed onto the raceway and Miller started in the 9th spot. The green waved and Miller started working the bottom groove but after several laps, he moved to the high-line and quickly found himself around the #42 of Schoreder for the 8th spot. At the checkers he was 8th and would start 9th in the B-main. Crew Chief Justin Miller and Tom Didier, made changes to the 410 machine and one large change was putting two rear SuperShox 's that were borrowed to them by fellow competitor Brian Kristan. The Hammerdown Motorsports, Tom Klein powered, Eagle Chassis, Tech Squad, Meyer Motors, Mount'n Screenery, Fastenal, GWRE, RC Custom Design, Full Throttle Ink, CMI Racing Vids, Race Gear X, High Flyers PR #24M was ready for the B-main. Miller knew as he lined-up in 9th spot, he had to get to the 3rd spot to transfer to the night's A-main event. Miller quickly went to work and was moving up positions from 9th, and was running 6th as a caution waved lap on 4. As the field came down the front-stretch nose-to-tail, Miller had a fantastic re-start and moved into the 5th position. He maintained that position for the next 8 laps and through several cautions as well. Miller at the end of the race would finish 5th and would not transfer to the night's A-main event, however, as he removed his helmet his left eye that has been acting up- was extremely swollen. After a trip to the doctor, Miller is now wearing a patch over his eye and will be going to an eye specialist this week in Indiana. He stated, "We finally got going in the right direction tonight. This place lately has been haunting us, but we showed a good run tonight even though we came up short- I just needed a few more laps- 12 was not enough! Those SuperShox made a huge difference and thanks BK for letting us use them. I also want to thank Tom for helping us out tonight, and once I get my eye healed, we will be back at it early in September." The team is tentatively racing on Saturday, August 29th in Indiana and the team will be running for W.O.S. points at Wilmot Raceway (Kenosha County Fairgrounds) on Sunday, September 6, 2009.
